Wheelie barsIt's because the rear axle is rotating in the chassis. Wheelie bars are attached to the axle, and when power is applied the pinion starts to rotate the ring gear trying to "climb" upwards. If there is flex, like in typical stock style rear suspensions the pinion flange goes up and on the oppsite side the wheelie bars go down. You have to take this in to consideration when installing the rearaxle, so, that under power the pinion/ driveshaft angle is approximately zero. While standing still, the pinion axle must point down compared to the driveshaft. With stock style suspension this angle is 5-7 degrees, with a solid four link or ladders 1-3 degrees.
