Sounds like there isn't oil pressure in the trans. May be the converter, front oil pump (the old TF's also have a rear oil pump, so if it's oil pump related it should work at least somehow if you tow it to speed) or something else? Should at least take a look under the car first; there are plugs in the trans where you can measure the pressures. I'm afraid you have to take the tranny off, and perform some maintenance. If you need a converter for the "old" TF, I have one. The 19 spline converter was used in TF 727's only between '62-'67, and may be pretty hard to find. |

i think so too that the oil pressure is gone but is it possible that the filter is full of shit or smth. it is strange that one evening it was ok but next gay it is dead |

It's a good idea to check the filter. It isnät very evident that it would suddenly stop working, but still possible. It doesn't help wether you give more rpm to it? |
