Fjordi 9'' sild??
Tunnen huvi ,millistele Fjordidele paigaldas tehas juba originaalis teatud-tuntud-pommikindla-kiirendussõbraliku-9''- tagasilla ?

Ise just ehitama (kohe) ei hakka aga teadmisi tuleb ju täiendada.

Although the 9" based rear axle is most widely used in drag racing, don't except finding any stock parts in it. In stock form they are nothing special, and there are many different versions available that makes things more complicated. Strength wise they are very comparable to chevy 12 bolt or mopar 8 3/4". Aftermarket parts availability is very good, but you'll spend quite a lot of cash building one. 9" has a couple of nice features. First it's a banjo style rear axle (like mopar 8 3/4") that is easy to build, change ratios etc. Adn you can have several ready cases with different ratios, just pull the axles and throw a new one in. Try that with a carrier tube style (like chevy 12 bolt) Second, with aftermarket parts they are pretty strong, yet still relatively light. Bad thing is that it eats some horsepower because of the pinion shaft location compared to toher rear axles. That's why there is actually even a "chevy 12 bolt" case available for the 9" housing. When building our next project, I have studied this stuff a little and have decided to go with a Dana 60 instead (9 3/4"). It doesn't need as much trick parts as a 9" to be bullet proof and that makes it less expensive. The negative side is, that it's harder to work on but that's not a problem with us since we only plan to do it once. And it's about 30 KG heavier than a similar width stock 9".

The venerable Ford 9-inch is both readily available and strong. Later models have bigger axle tubes and stronger housings. It was standard under 1966-88 F-150s and Broncos. It also came on many vans and the Lincoln Versailles (a popular axle for swapping because of the Lincoln version's disc brakes with parking brake).
Kunagisel minu Mark V-el on ka 9" ketaspiduritega tagasild.Originaalis oli vist ülekanne mingi 2,75

ehk saad siit abi?
("Ega te juhuslikult Kurgjalt ei ole?" )
Versailles oli ja on hea oma tagasilla poolest. Seepärast neid nii vähe järel ongi - ja mis on, on ilma tagasillata. :)

The most popular rear end around is no doubt the Ford 9 inch unit, it is used by restorers, street rodders and racers alike, regardless of what brand of car the axle is going in. Many custom made axle housings for the GM boys utilize the 9 inch Ford, even though they hate to admit it. Ford used the axle from around the 1957 model year right up until the early 1980-s in cars and trucks. It was not the only axle used, but was by far one of the best.

Boss 351 (R Code)
Engine: 351 cubic-inch medium-block V-8 with 4-inch bore with 3.50-inch stroke.

") selline siis - arvasingi, et ju see 351 on (mitte 302 või 400) Ongi medium ju - 302 ja 400 vahel:D Peale väntsutusi otsustati ehk suurte hulka arvata?

The last of the Boss bad boys. The Boss 351 is a mid-block terror that can still hold its own.
